Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of Noblis' total compensation package.

Noblis MSD is seeking a well-rounded Software Developer to lead and collaborate with a small team of developers and engineers in the development and maintenance throughout all phases of the advanced fuel control system lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support to SW development team to ensure assignments and deliverables are submitted in a high-quality and efficient manner
- Design, build, test, release, and maintain clean, secure, efficient, reusable, and reliable multi-tier software applications for distributed systems using the .NET and Java frameworks.
- Develop, modify and test computer code with a high level of proficiency.
- Provide input to software team to develop requirements documentation and detailed design documentation describing the desired functionality of the control system software.
- Furnish UML diagrams, sequence diagrams, and deployment diagrams as well as document issues, faults, or deficiencies found during software or hardware testing.
- Develop and/or modify Graphical User Interfaces using applicable development tools.
- Develop software change packages and artifacts and present at peer reviews.
- Develop and administer debases such as SQL, MySQL, and Microsoft Access.
- Perform configuration management of control system software and documentation in accordance with the approved NAVSEA Systems Engineering Process (SEP) Configuration Management Plan using software version control tools.
- Develop and maintain configuration manage software and hardware installation procedures, instructions, and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures.
- Develop software for embedded systems such as National Instruments Embedded controllers.
- Develop software unit tests in order to demonstrate that the modified computer programs satisfy the requirements.
- Develop software and hardware installation plans with input from Fleet, Type Commanders, Functional and Platform Program Managers, Planning Yards, Ship Management Representatives (SMRs), and external supporting commands and technical authorities.
Required Qualifications
Master's Degree in Computer Science or engineering degree with 1 year work experience, Bachelors degree with 3 years work experience or a High School Diploma with 9 year's work experience
- At least 4 years' experience in C#; Java; C/C++; Visual Basic; as well as other related Object Oriented programming languages
- At least 2 years experience in project management for software development projects
- Experience in Full life cycle development and end-to-end testing
- Knowledge of Visual Studio, Netbeans, MySQL Workbench, HeidiSQL
- Proficient knowledge of Windows operating systems, IP based systems, Network protocols
- Proficient with Agile Scrum methodologies
- Experience with Unit testing
- Experience with web application development
- Experience with issue reporting databases
- Understanding of development methodologies and database development technologies
- 1-2+ years' experience using Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)
- Proficient with Configuration Management
- Experience with Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs) or HMI front end experience
- Successful applicants must either have an active DoD Secret security clearance or the ability to receive a security clearance upon position acceptance.
- Candidate must obtain CompTIA Security+ prior to start
- US Citizenship
