Overview
GovCIO is currently hiring for a Deployed Project Manager to be the direct contact for our DoD customer's Forward Operations Officer and Deployed Sergeant Major. This position will be located in the country or Jordan or Djibouti and will be an onsite position.
Responsibilities
Responsible for all OCONUS special and operational projects, personnel status reporting, vacation scheduling, site manning to support customer baseline requirements, surge requirements, and OCONUS off-boardings. Additionally, the LNO directs the movement of Special Operations Support Solutions personnel and materials dispersed around the world. Creates integrated project plans for contract deliverables and new products in development projects. Manages a project team comprised of a multidisciplinary staff. Reviews, manages and controls status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with team members and line managers. Reports to the CONUS Operations Manager.

Posted Pay Range
The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. - Manages the direction of a project through the design, implementation, and testing in accordance with project objectives.
- In collaboration with the customer, defines requirements and plans project lifecycle deployment.
- Supervises professional and technical support personnel performing in their regular disciplines.
- Schedules tasks and coordinates with various team members to accomplish the results.
- Manages the integration of vendor tasks and tracks and reviews vendor deliverables.
- Ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables.
- Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking, analysis and reporting.
- Researches, updates, publishes travel advisories to all business unit employees traveling outside the continental United States
- Interfaces with local and host nation governments in matters that impact business unit employees
- Gathers, compiles and reports on information relevant to the project.
- Manage and provide oversight on assigned Enterprise, IT projects.
- Ensure adequate resources are assigned and aligned with service delivery and FOC criteria.
- Develop comprehensive project plan for all requirements/projects to include planning, quality control, direction, coordination, deliverables submissions and reviews.
- Provide weekly status updates to the contract, flight, and team lead.
- Create, maintain and dispose of task-related records and supporting documentation.
- Schedule all meetings that are pertinent to project planning and development
- Understand agile project management methodologies and traditional project management functions.
- Develops project scope, backlog, and work schedules according to project requirements.
Qualifications
High School with 3 - 6 years (or commensurate experience)
Required Skills and Experience
- Clearance Required: TS/SCI
- Current and active U.S. Driver's License
- Current and active U.S. Passport
- Active Project Management Professional (PMP), or Certified associate in project management (CAPM)
- Excellent written/verbal communications skills
- Demonstrated experience managing scope, schedule, and cost controls
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
- Must have the ability to wear personal protective equipment, including a protective mask, ballistic helmet, body armor, and chemical/biological protective garments
- Medically/Physically fit for deployment with U.S. Military Forces Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS) under the provisions of USCENTCOM Medical Standards
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Experience in both short & long-term IT systems deployment & systems lifecycles
- Ability to oversee and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- ITIL 4 certification
- Agile or Scrum certification (PMI-ACP®, CSM®, SAFe®, etc.)
- Experience working in government, DoD, or regulated environments
- Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM)
- Experience managing fixed-price and/or time-and-materials contracts
- Knowledge of risk management frameworks and compliance processes
