DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ability to support Tier 1, 2, and 3 troubleshooting and ticketing support on MQ-9 networks and systems as well as planning, engineering, and implementing enterprise modernization efforts. These networks are Aircraft Control Network (ACN) Transport, ACN-Combat, ACN-Training, C2R System, Sensor Product Dissemination Network (SPDN), and Monics.
- Ability to also support network boundary devices and systems to include Multi-Intelligence Signal Processing - Virtual Network Infrastructure (MISP-VNI), Reliable Data Transfer Module (RDTM), and Circuit to Packet (CTP) systems. They will monitor, diagnose, escalate (if necessary), and resolve issues promptly to maintain uninterrupted mission operations.
- Assist Tier 1/ 2 technical support personnel at local and remote sites with troubleshooting MQ-9 networks and services. These sites are MQ-9 Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA) Squadron Operations Centers (SOCs), Satellite Communications (SATCOM) relays, and ACN boundary locations.
- Ability to perform network device reconfigurations in accordance with flight schedules and requests.
- Perform local installations, assist with remote installations, and conduct maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting, optimization, and cybersecurity activities in adherence to all relevant organizational policies and procedures.
- Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, providing remote installation support; configuring and maintaining network infrastructure such as routers, switches, firewalls, and High Assurance Internet Protocol Encryptor (HAIPE) devices with their associated hardware and software; and optimizing network devices by configuring higher-level protocols, multicast, and tunneling.
- Implement backup and recovery procedures, monitor the network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, diagnose connectivity issues, and implement network security measures, including patching vulnerabilities and applying security patches to integrated commercial products as directed.
- Responsible for implementing protective or corrective measures for any discovered cybersecurity incidents or vulnerabilities, ensuring security improvement actions are evaluated, validated, and implemented, and integrating new systems and technologies into the existing network architecture.
- Perform mission provisioning tasks that involve network edge device reconfiguration.
- Additional duties include providing local and remote High Assurance IP Encryptor (HAIPE), backing up network device configurations weekly, and developing and maintaining up-to-date networking standard operating procedures (SOPs), configuration documentation, and diagrams.
REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other related field.
- Must be able to meet IAT lvl II certification requirements (CCNA-Security, CySA+, CND, and/or Security+) plus CE certifications as applicable.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 3 years experience as a Network Administrator.
- Ability to work varying schedules as needed.
- Familiarity with ACN, ACN Boundaries, mission provisioning, and Monics systems to ensure the secure, reliable, and optimal performance of the MQ-9 RPA enterprise.
- Experience with configuring and maintaining network infrastructure such as routers, switches, firewalls, and High Assurance Internet Protocol Encryptor (HAIPE) devices with their associated hardware and software; and optimizing network devices by configuring higher-level protocols, multicast, and tunneling.
- Experience with Cybersecurity incidents and vulnerabilities.
- Experience with remote access/installations.
REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must have Active Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret, DCID 6/4 eligible with current SSBI.
