Duties

  • You will serve as the DTS Compliance and Support Manager for HQSVCBN, MARFORPAC and its supported units.
  • You will implement and administer business rules compliant with DoD and Marine Corps directives.
  • You will promulgate command specific travel policy and mange administrative guidelines for processing travel requests, settling retravel vouchers, an archiving travel documents within DTS per DoD guidance
  • You will conduct administrative review of DTS operating methodologies and reporting practices as it pertains to DTS implementation /operaions.
  • You will familiarize with all instructions, directives, orders, and policy letters that govern DTS.
  • You will maintain functional organization structure within HQSVCB, MARFRPAC in DTS.
  • You will implement and administer business rules and SOPs that are compliant with DoD, Marine Corps, and MARFORPAC directives and orders.
  • You will serve as the command liaison with the Commercial Ticketing Office (CTO) and the Defense Transportation Management Office (DTMO) for DTS, as well as GTCC supporting bank for HQSVCBN, MARFORPAC, and its supported units.

  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • his position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Specialize experience must demonstrate the following: Instituting traveler training; Establishing Defense Travel System organizational hierarchy; Coordinating with Tier II help desk; Accepting travelers into organization; practical knowledge of Joint Travel Regulations (JTR), Defense Travel System (DTS), and Government Travel Credit Card (GTCC) programs; High level of inter personal skills; Knowledge and skill in researching policy issues; Possessing basic written and oral communication skills; Resourceful solving unique problems associated with DTS techniques; Resolving complex issues; Planning and carrying out assignments.

Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Master's or equivalent graduate degree

or
2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

or
LL.B. or J.D., if related
