Position Overview
We are seeking a Systems Engineer to support integration efforts for a mission-critical payload program in Tucson, AZ. This role differs from traditional requirements-focused systems engineering positions. Instead, we are looking for a candidate with strong experience in verification, integration & test, and validation (V&V) - with emphasis on the "right side" of the Systems Engineering V-model.
This position is ideally suited for a senior-level engineer; however, candidates with mid-level experience will be considered if they possess the right integration and V&V background.

Position Overview

Key Responsibilities
- Support system integration activities across hardware, software, and payload subsystems
- Develop and execute verification and validation (V&V) plans, procedures, and test events
- Lead or support system-level integration and test efforts
- Perform requirements verification through analysis, inspection, demonstration, and test
- Troubleshoot integration issues and coordinate resolution across cross-functional teams
- Support test readiness reviews, integration readiness reviews, and technical interchange meetings
- Ensure system performance meets mission and program requirements
- Document test results, discrepancies, and corrective actions
- Collaborate with systems, software, hardware, and program teams to ensure successful system delivery
- Active Secret Clearance (minimum)
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field
- Experience supporting system integration, verification, and validation activities
- Strong understanding of the Systems Engineering V-Model, particularly the integration and test phases
- Experience developing and executing test procedures and verification plans
- Ability to troubleshoot complex system-level issues
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Senior-level systems engineering experience
- Experience supporting payload programs or defense/aerospace systems
- Background in hardware/software integration environments
- Experience with formal test events and documentation processes
- Familiarity with requirements management and traceability tools (DOORS, Jama, etc.)
- Senior Level Preferred, but candidates with the appropriate integration and V&V experience at a mid-level will be considered
