To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job.
Specialized experience is defined as: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service which includes conducting administrative investigations of allegations of misconduct; gathering evidence; conducting interviews; and writing reports regarding investigations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).

Help
- investigates allegations of misconduct involving senior and non-senior officials. Alleged misconduct may include Military Whistleblower Reprisal complaints under Title 10 U.S.C. § 1034 and the Whistleblower Protection Act.
- Plans and arranges all aspects of inquiries and investigations, including notification and coordination with appropriate officials.
- Conducts interviews with complainants, witnesses, subject matter experts, and subjects.
- Prepares detailed written administrative investigation reports and related correspondence subject to stringent oversight by DoD Office of Inspector General.
- Evaluates the sufficiency of evidence collected and terminates the investigation or investigative inquiry when sufficient evidence has been obtained to formulate accurate findings, thorough conclusions, and actionable recommendations.

- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959 must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
