Position Description:
The Product Support Manager oversees the complete lifecycle product support strategy for the program data logger hardware and associated systems. This role is critical because product support for military hardware - particularly provisioning, warranty management, spare parts, and sustainment planning - is a highly specialized discipline governed by specific GEIA standards, DoD handbooks, and acquisition lifecycle frameworks.
The Product Support Manager ensures that the program system is not just fielded, but fully supportable across its lifecycle with appropriate spares posture, maintenance strategies, provisioning documentation, and warranty administration.
This role works closely with the Logistics Engineer & Lifecycle Logistician and the Warehouse/Assembly Technicians to ensure seamless support from factory to field.
This position is located onsite in Quantico, VA.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Develop and execute the program Product Support Strategy encompassing sustainment, spare parts, warranty, provisioning, and lifecycle management
Manage the 12-month commercial warranty program per PWS Section 4.0.2, including coordination of CONUS and OCONUS warranty shipments and vendor warranty pass-through
Oversee the Provisioning Guidance Conference (PGC) within 60 days of contract award per PWS Section 4.3.1, coordinating with the Government on PTD requirements per GEIA-HB-0007, GEIA-STD-0007, and MIL-HDB-502
Manage development and submission of all provisioning documentation: PPL, PPLI, LLTIL, TTEL, CBIL, and DCNs per PWS Section 4.3.4
Develop and maintain the Provisioning Plan (PP) per PWS Section 4.3.3, ensuring optimum material readiness and economic logistics support
Oversee Spares Acquisition Integrated with Production (SAIP) recommendations including LRU range and depth for two years of operations per PWS Section 4.3.15
Manage DMSMS (Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages) forecasting and obsolescence management per PWS Section 4.3.17
Coordinate with the Logistics Engineer on Level of Repair Analysis inputs and maintenance strategy recommendations to SYSCOM
Oversee IUID compliance per MIL-STD-130 and DFARS 252.211-7003, ensuring all data loggers are marked, registered, and tracked through the IUID Registry per PWS Section 4.5
Manage firmware update distribution and software re-imaging processes per PWS Sections 4.4.1-4.4.2
Coordinate with OEM vendors on MTBF validation (365-day requirement per PWS 4.0.1), failure analysis reports (CDRL A005), and product improvements
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field
8+ years of experience in DoD product support, sustainment, or lifecycle logistics management
Demonstrated experience with provisioning processes per GEIA-STD-0007 and GEIA-HB-0007
Knowledge of DoD warranty management, spare parts planning, and DMSMS processes
Experience with IUID marking and compliance per MIL-STD-130
Familiarity with DoD acquisition lifecycle and product support analysis frameworks
Active Secret clearance
DAU Life Cycle Logistics Level II certification or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience as a Product Support Manager or Logistics Lead on a DoD hardware acquisition program
Experience with Marine Corps Systems Command provisioning conferences and PTD submissions
Familiarity with military packaging and marking standards (MIL-STD-2073-1, MIL-STD-129)
Experience with EIA-649 Configuration Management processes
Knowledge of DLA provisioning systems and Federal Logistics Information System (FLIS)
Prior experience supporting electronics or sensor hardware lifecycle in DoD environments
