This role performs hands-on security analysis, vulnerability management, and incident response activities to protect mission-critical systems in a federal or large-scale enterprise environment. The analyst ensures compliance with cybersecurity policies and frameworks while contributing to continuous monitoring, risk assessment, and security improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities
- Perform system security analysis, including assessment of security controls and identification of vulnerabilities.
- Conduct vulnerability scanning, analysis, and remediation tracking in coordination with system owners and technical teams.
- Support incident detection, response, investigation, and reporting activities.
- Assist in maintaining system security documentation, including security plans, risk assessments, and authorization artifacts.
- Monitor security tools and dashboards to identify potential threats, anomalies, or compliance gaps.
- Provide recommendations to mitigate identified risks and improve overall cybersecurity posture.
- Support continuous monitoring and compliance efforts aligned with federal cybersecurity standards and policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to implement security best practices and corrective actions.
- Contribute to security awareness efforts and provide technical guidance to stakeholders as needed.
Requirements
- A minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in information security, cyber risk management, or IT security operations.
- At least three (3) years of hands-on experience in system security analysis, vulnerability management, or incident response within a Federal Information Systems Security or equivalent enterprise environment.
- An IAT level II Security+ CE certification or equivalent is required.
- A minimum Public Trust security clearance or higher is required to be considered for this position.
Educational Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field is required.
Desired Requirements
- Higher-level certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH, CAP) are preferred and may be substitute for additional years of experience.
