QED Systems, LLC is currently recruiting a Visual Graphics Specialist, to join our team at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD, in support of our C5ISR Center HQ Operations Support contract.
This position supports the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM) Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) Center Headquarters. Specifically, this specialty involves applying the latest technology and tools to communicate technical information to broad audiences, including Army Senior Leaders, members of Congress, industry partners and other stakeholders, and the public.
Duties:
Responsible for design and display of visual materials such as photographs, illustrations, diagrams, graphs, objects, models, slides, and charts used in briefings, posters, handouts, articles, social media, exhibits, live or video recorded speeches or lectures, and other means of communicating.
Plan and execute the professional publication of quality graphics, presentations, exhibits, photo/video, audio, 3D Printing, multi-media, and web/print design for internal customers.
Utilize artistic creativity, effective communication, and expertise in audiovisual and graphic design technology to distribute the organization’s messaging campaigns.
Program elements include audiovisual support and graphic design.
Demonstrate adaptability, flexibility and appropriate risk taking to set priorities, establish longer term goals, and develop business opportunities.
Required Skills & Experience:
Detail-oriented with excellent technical, verbal, and written communication skills.
Requires knowledge of and ability to apply the principles of visual design; knowledge of the technical characteristics associated with various methods of visual display.
Requires the ability to present subject matter information in a visual form that will convey the intended message to, or have the desired effect on, the intended audience.
Required Clearance:
ACTIVE CLEARANCE LEVEL REQUIRED: Secret
Qualifications:
Associates degree or 2-year technical school with three (3) years of experience in industrial arts and graphical design.
HS/GED and ten (10) years of relevant experience may substitute a degree.
Travel:
Less than 10% travel is expected for this position. Travel may include continental United States and outside continental United States locations.
Work Environment:
This position will be performed in a variety of locations, including but not limited to, government offices, military bases and depots, and/or warehouse/maintenance shops.
Physical Demands:
Physical demands of this position include ability to:
Be independently mobile.
Communicate effectively with co-workers and customers.
Withstand prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and computer use.
