The Staff Quoting Analyst is responsible for managing supplier quotations in support of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and procurement activities. This role ensures accurate, timely, and competitive pricing data to support purchasing decisions, production planning, and cost control. Additionally, this position ensures the timely flow of materials, components, and technical information required to support manufacturing, assembly, and engineering programs. Close coordination with Procurement, Planning, Engineering, and Suppliers will be required to support operational and strategic sourcing objectives, prevent schedule delays, resolve technical discrepancies, and maintain compliance with stringent standards. This position will be based at our Niwot, CO office and is exempt, non- supervisory, full-time position.

KeyResponsibilities
  • Request, receive, analyze, and validate supplier quotations for materials, components, and services based on MRP demand
  • Maintain and update pricing, lead times, MOQ, and supplier data. Support buyers and planners by providing accurate cost and availability information to meet production schedules
  • Analyze quotes for cost drivers, trends, and variances; flag risks related to pricing, lead time, or supply constraints
  • Coordinate with suppliers to clarify specifications, pricing assumptions, and delivery terms Collaborate with Engineering and Quality on RFQs involving new parts, revisions, or alternate materials
  • Assist Procurement with cost reduction initiatives, supplier negotiations, and sourcing projects
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, contracts, and audit requirements
  • Generate reports and metrics related to quoting activity, cost accuracy, and supplier performance Support continuous improvement of quoting and MRP-related processes

Expediting & Supply Chain Coordination
  • Monitor and track the status of components, hardware, and materials to ensure on-time delivery for production and engineering programs.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, logistics partners, and internal teams to resolve delays, shortages, or disruptions.
  • Review purchase orders, bills of material (BOMs), and production schedules to identify risks to program timelines.
  • Expedite critical path items and escalate issues that may impact build schedules, testing, or certification milestones.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of order status, delivery forecasts, and supplier communications.

Documentation & Compliance
  • Track and manage documentation related to engineering changes, supplier corrective actions, and quality notifications.
  • Support audits and compliance activities as required.

Process Improvement & Reporting
  • Identify supply chain bottlenecks and propose process improvements to enhance delivery performance.
  • Prepare regular status reports for program managers, engineering leads, and supply chain leadership.

Experiences and Background We Look For (Required Skills):
  • High School Diploma.
  • 2-5 years of experience in procurement, quoting, supply chain, or materials planning
  • Experience working with suppliers, RFQ processes, aerospace manufacturing and supply chain
  • Strong analytical and Excel skills (pricing analysis, cost comparison, data validation)
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Familiarity with cost breakdowns, BOMs, and sourcing strategies
  • Understanding of lead times, and supply chain risk factors
  • Familiarity with AS9100, FAR regulations, DoD requirements, or other aerospace standards.
  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (Cost Point)
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interface effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.

The salary range for this role is $95,000/yr to $103,000/yr; however, Arete considers several factors when extending an offer of employment, including but not limited to: the position and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills
