Part Time Receptionist

KBR's Mission Engineering Division delivers complex technical solutions and expert support to the U.S. Department of Defense, specializing in modeling and simulation, cyber transformation, air vehicle mission integration, and lifecycle support. KBR is seeking a Part Time Receptionist (20 hours a week) to support our office in Lexington Park, MD. You will be responsible for various administrative and general office support duties in this role.

Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Welcome employees, customers, and visitors. Visitor check-in (via KBR software). Answering and transferring incoming phone calls. Conference room scheduling (via Outlook). Other general administrative functions.
  • Provide administrative, data entry, and word processing for a variety of customer projects/programs across the Mission Engineering portfolio.
  • Prepares, maintains, and preserves technical or administrative documentation, data, correspondence, and records. Activities may include typing, word processing, graphic preparation, filing, reproduction, and operating office equipment. Type technical reports, papers, test plans, and other project/program documentation in final format from rough notes or drafts. Applies familiarity with specialized and technical terminology to edit, proofread, and correct spelling, grammar, and phraseology.
  • Provide employee and visitor badging. Printing Access Badges and managing badging software.
  • Working closely with Security to enforce Security Measures/Policies. Visit Request Liaison, which includes classified and foreign national policies.
  • Keeping up-to-date on Emergency Response Plans, including active aggressors and bomb threat response training. Ensure Fire Drill Safety. Support the setup and operation of audiovisual equipment in all conference rooms.
  • Coordinate with other facility personnel on facility issues. Additional duties as required.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Education: High School Diploma
  • Citizenship: Must be a US Citizen
  • Experience: 1+ years of relevant experience
  • Clearance: Must have or be eligible to obtain a Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience completing general Receptionist duties.
  • Experience with security coordination for DoD contractors.
  • Experience handling facility coordination.


Shift: Day job Travel: No

Anticipated Scheduled Weekly Hours: 20 hours/week, M-F Lexington Park, MD.

Compensation: $15.96-$18/HR. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate's location, knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience, contract affordability, and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation: KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of a sign-on bonus, relocation benefits, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
