As a Prime Government Contractor for a major government institution, we are currently searching for a talented Windows System Administrator with experience in the Azure Cloud with Secret Clearance to workin Washington DC

Job Requirements

An Azure Cloud Systems Administrator manages, secures, and optimizes an organization's Microsoft Azure infrastructure. Key responsibilities include deploying virtual machines, managing network security, configuring Azure Active Directory, monitoring system performance (using tools like Azure Monitor), automating tasks via PowerShell/CLI, and supporting hybrid cloud environments to ensure high availability and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Azure Infrastructure Management: Provisioning, configuring, and managing Azure resources, including virtual machines (VMs), virtual networks (VNets), storage accounts, and database services.
  • Security & Identity Management: Administering Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), implementing Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), managing user permissions, and ensuring compliance with security policies.
  • Monitoring & Optimization: Monitoring system health, performance, and usage metrics; performing cost optimization and troubleshooting incidents to ensure high availability.
  • Automation & Scripting: Using PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Azure Automation to streamline, deploy, and manage cloud resources.
  • Hybrid Cloud Integration: Supporting hybrid environments, including Azure AD Connect, on-premise networking, and server patching.
  • Backup & Disaster Recovery: Configuring and managing backups, replication, and data restoration services.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Certification: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) is highly preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of Azure services (compute, storage, networking, security), Windows/Linux server administration, and networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN).
  • Tools: Experience with Azure Monitor, Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, and scripting tools (PowerShell or Bash).
  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving under pressure, and communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Typical Educational/Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in system administration, with at least 1-2 years specifically managing Azure cloud environments
