Zachary Piper Solutions is currently seeking a Tableau and Reports Analyst to support a large-scale federal program within our client's mission-driven environment. This position is a full-time role that will be performed REMOTE. This role is critical in enabling data-driven decision-making across a CMS program by delivering high-quality dashboards, reporting products, and analytical insights that enhance operational visibility and performance. As a Tableau and Reports Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and standardizing visual analytics solutions. You will work hands-on with Tableau, SQL, and Python to enable cross-functional teams to access, analyze, and understand their data with accuracy, efficiency, and repeatability.

You will work hands-on with Tableau, SQL, and Python to enable cross-functional teams to access, analyze, and understand their data with accuracy, efficiency, and repeatability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build, develop, and maintain repeatable, accurate, and credible metrics, dashboards, and reports, often leading cross-functional efforts to align and standardize definitions.
- Leverage Tableau and Python to automate, streamline, and integrate analytics processes.
- Ensure dashboards and reports follow Tableau visualization best practices and standards (e.g., appropriate visual selections, layout, formatting).
- Identify and apply the correct Tableau capabilities to optimize reporting for the program's datasets and use cases.
- Assess and validate data sources to improve data quality and reporting accuracy.
- Standardize dashboards and reporting products across the CMS program to ensure consistency and reliability.
- Oversee the delivery of reports, dashboards, and insights that analyze key operational and performance metrics.
- Identify opportunities to enhance process efficiency in intake, validation, analysis, and reporting workflows.
- Prepare management-level reporting materials and presentations.
- Analyze trends and variations to identify opportunities for operational improvement.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree or higher.
- Possess one of the following Tableau certifications:
- Tableau Consultant - Designer Path
- Tableau Data Analyst or Tableau Desktop Specialist
- 5+ years of experience designing, developing, and maintaining reporting and analytics solutions using Tableau.
- Expert SQL skills, including writing complex queries and diagnosing data inconsistencies.
- Required Technical Skills:
- Expert understanding of Tableau dashboards, configuration, and best practices
- Expert-level hands-on Tableau development experience
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office tools: Excel, PowerPoint, Access
- Security Clearance:
- Candidate must be willing and able to obtain a CMS Public Trust clearance.
Compensation to include:
- Salary Range: $90,000 - $120,000 (depending on experience)
- Full Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), PTO, Sick Leave (as required by law)
