Venatore is seeking a Joint Command and Control (C2) Operations Support Specialist to provide 24/7/365 GCCS-J coverage at Headquarters U.S. Central Command (USCENTCOM). This role supports secure, interoperable, and timely Joint Command and Control capabilities that enable decision superiority for the National Command Authority (NCA), Combatant Commanders, and Joint Task Force (JTF) Commanders. The position includes travel to approved domestic and international locations, including Qatar, in support of Overseas Contingency Operations within the USCENTCOM Area of Responsibility (AOR).

About the Job
Venatore is seeking a Joint Command and Control (C2) Operations Support Specialist to provide 24/7/365 GCCS-J coverage at Headquarters U.S. Central Command (USCENTCOM). This role supports secure, interoperable, and timely Joint Command and Control capabilities that enable decision superiority for the National Command Authority (NCA), Combatant Commanders, and Joint Task Force (JTF) Commanders. The position includes travel to approved domestic and international locations, including Qatar, in support of Overseas Contingency Operations within the USCENTCOM Area of Responsibility (AOR).
Responsibilities
GCCS-J Operations & Support
- Provide continuous 24/7/365 GCCS-J operational coverage at HQ USCENTCOM.
- Employ secure, interoperable, and mission-critical Joint C2 capabilities to support operational decision-making.
- Ensure integrity of U.S. and allied data across multiple security domains through cross-domain services.
- Support GCCS-J interoperability with other DoD C2 systems and service-specific implementations.
- Utilize network-accessible and transportable GCCS-J systems in support of mobile tactical units.
Training & Mobile Support
- Deliver GCCS-J training to replacement forces prior to deployment.
- Provide mobile training and technical support to U.S. and Coalition elements as authorized or directed.
- Cross-train on other OES positions and provide surge/contingency support as required.
C2 Policy & Planning Support
- Provide policy and planning support related to secure early warning, Radiant Mercury, OPTASK COP, and other GCCS-J interrelated areas.
- Support operational planning and execution activities at the Combatant Command level or higher.
- Prepare and deliver high-level military staff briefings and action items to senior leadership.
Collaboration & Communication
- Interact professionally and effectively with Government operational representatives and joint stakeholders.
- Produce clear, concise written products and deliver high-level briefings to senior military leadership.
- Operate effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced joint working environment with minimal government oversight.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Active Top Secret (TS) clearance with SCI eligibility; ability to securely handle and safeguard classified information.
- Five to eight (5–8) years of relevant work experience.
- Experience as a mid-level staff officer at a Combatant Command or Service staff.
- Demonstrated experience employing Joint C2 capabilities in operational environments.
- Experience supporting high-level military staff briefings and managing action items.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office O365 products; strong writing and briefing skills.
- SharePoint expertise.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally, including Qatar (no combat zone travel authorized under this contract).
- Ability to support 24/7/365 operations in a high-tempo environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience supporting training or mobile training teams.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Active-duty military experience directly supporting Common Operational Picture (COP) analysis.
- More than ten (10+) years of operations support experience at the operational level or higher.
- Experience and/or knowledge of Joint-Range Extension (JRE) software.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal oversight while functioning effectively within a joint team environment.
