MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer oriented Cloud Support Engineer to join our team. This is a remote position.
As a Cloud Support Engineer, you will have the opportunity to grow your knowledge and skills as a member of the Cloud Operations Team for NAVSEA Bluewater Cloud. You will collaborate closely with engineering and cyber teams to resolve complex technical issues and improve the overall user experience. This role offers significant growth in cloud service management, incident response, and cross-platform technical expertise.

As a Cloud Support Engineer, you will have the opportunity to grow your knowledge and skills as a member of the Cloud Operations Team for NAVSEA Bluewater Cloud. You will collaborate closely with engineering and cyber teams to resolve complex technical issues and improve the overall user experience. This role offers significant growth in cloud service management, incident response, and cross-platform technical expertise.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Lead end-to-end ITSM support for GOV Cloud, managing service requests, incidents, and operational requirements through resolution.
- Develop and maintain SOPs and Knowledge Base articles by analyzing recurring requests to improve efficiency and consistency.
- Monitor cloud environments for security threats and outages, driving rapid incident response and clearly communicating technical updates to customers.
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and optimize multi-cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Enhance operational performance by implementing automation and new tools to improve cloud support quality and speed.
- Support disaster recovery planning, exercises, and training to ensure system resilience and continuous availability.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or other related STEM discipline OR an Associate's degree and 11+ years of relevant experience
- 9+ years of experience related to IT Service Management (ITSM), cloud engineering, operations, networking or cybersecurity
- Experience with GOV cloud systems deployed at multiple Impact Levels (IL2, IL4, IL5, IL6) within DoD-approved Cloud Service Providers such as AWS or Azure
- An active CompTIA Security+ certification or a higher-level DoD-approved security certification
- An active AWS Solution Architect Associate Certification or higher
- Experience with an ITSM platform (ServiceNow, Remedy or Jira)
- Must be available to work West Coast hours to align with our primary support window of 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM PST
Preferred Qualifications:
- Multi-Cloud experience within Google Cloud Platform, Azure, or Oracle
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) based architecture
- Familiarity with Git, GitHub, and Markdown
- Experience with Terraform and Ansible
- Experience with AWS SCCA - AWS Organizations
- Associate level certification or higher in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
Clearance Requirements:
- Must have an active Secret security clearance.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
- Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
- Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
