Job Description Summary
The Edison Works Transformation team is focused on contemporizing today's business processes with sustainable digital solutions, thus enabling strategic process transformation. This organization is responsible for partnering with our Digital Technology (DT) organization to drive internal transformation of the GE Edison Works.
The SAP Implementation Functional Project Leader will drive end-to-end implementation and deployment of SAP solutions across our Plant to Produce (PTP) and Inventory to Deliver (ITD) value streams in support of component manufacturing, repair and lab activty. The role will engage with program management, engineering, government business systems, planning, purchasing, finance and partner with DT as well as other strategic transformation pillars to improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
There is moderate autonomy within the role. High levels of operational judgment are required to achieve outcomes required.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

• Coordinate and influence strategy development for the Edison Works Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementation in the areas of manufacturing execution and MOM (Solumina) integrations, including requirements definition, business process blueprinting, standardization of processes and policy formulation.

• Uses business process experience and expertise to support recommendations on plan to produce and inventory to deliver activities related to piece part manufacturing, end assembly processes and material management.

• Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions. Engage with consulting and system integrator resources to maximize business impact.

• Use lean process improvement methodologies, expertise, and judgement to creatively address complicated and/or interdependent processes, develop execution plans and communicate benefits/risk

• Collaborate will the DT organization to document, prioritize, develop, test and accept solutions, to support the implementation with the user community

• Responsible for managing project management related processes and support tools to support ERP development.

• Interprets internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services. Utilizes understanding of industry standards to apply a fit to standard solution.

• Presents business or technical discipline solutions to leaders. Communicates complex messages and negotiates mainly internally with others to adopt a different point of view. Acts as an organizational change agent with the business to drive awareness, knowledge and a desire within the business for ERP transformation.

Required Qualifications

• Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college + Minimum of 5 years' experience in Manufacturing and Inventory Management operations.
