Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for an Associate Test Conductor (Level 1) / Test Conductor (Level 2) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within the System Integration Lab (SIL). This position will be on site and located in Palmdale, CA.
In this role, you will be responsible for mission-critical engineering test activities for unmanned aircraft systems. You will design, schedule, and execute test events, ensure test data support program objectives, and act as the central liaison between program management, engineering, and production line teams.

Preferred Qualifications:
Primary Level Salary Range: $69,400.00 - $104,000.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $83,400.00 - $125,200.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

In this role, you will be responsible for mission-critical engineering test activities for unmanned aircraft systems. You will design, schedule, and execute test events, ensure test data support program objectives, and act as the central liaison between program management, engineering, and production line teams.
Key Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Plan and schedule test events
- Work with Responsible Engineers (REs) and System Test Engineers (STE) to develop test procedures, perform test article operations in a production environment.
- Plan, coordinate, and conduct test operations as an approved test conductor, to include test documentation preparation, engineering briefs/debriefs, and will lead our team through test execution.
- Provide support for post-test data processing and analysis as required to support test objectives.
- Provide first line engineering support for maintenance, repairs, and modifications to systems under test, supervision, and direction to maintenance personnel for maintenance, repairs, and modifications to systems under test.
- Analyze and interpret test data, provide recommendations to engineering and leadership for alternate means of compliance as required, and support development and execution of test objectives.
Basic Qualifications:
This requisition may be filled at an Associate Test Conductor (Level 1) OR Test Conductor (Level 2) level based on the qualifications below.
Associate Test Conductor (Level 1)
- Must have a High School diploma or equivalent AND 4 years of related professional/military experience; OR an Associate of Science degree AND 2 years of related professional/military experience; OR a Bachelor of Science degree AND 0 years of related professional/military experience.
- Must have an active DoD Top Secret clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance, prior to the commencement of employment, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business need.
- Demonstrated professional/military experience with unmanned aircraft or aircraft systems in a test environment
Test Conductor (Level 2)
- Must have a High School diploma or equivalent AND 6 years of related professional/military experience; OR an Associate of Science degree AND 4 years of related professional/military experience; OR a Bachelor of Science degree AND 2 years of related professional/military experience.
- Must have an active DoD Top Secret clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance, prior to the commencement of employment, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business need.
- Demonstrated professional/military experience with unmanned aircraft or aircraft systems in a test environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Experience as a Test Engineer that includes test planning, execution, and operations.
- Experience testing RF, ethernet, and electrical cables
- Experience with Teamcenter
- Active Program access(es)
