As a Mechanical Engineer Sr., you will:
• Generate and release design disclosure drawings & models as well as revisions using CAD software (CREO)
• Work under the direction of other mechanical engineers to research, design, analyze, and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems including mechanisms and ordnance
• 50%+ of the job will be on the shop floor interfacing with Manufacturing Engineers, production quality (inspectors), and machinists
• Participate in hardware defect/issue resolution and develop solutions to technical problems of varying complexity while assuring sound technical content and timely execution
• Develop, review, and maintain engineering documents, specifications, and technical analyses necessary to support product build and testing activities
• Will communicate daily with the CPE/CPE delegates shop floor issues and recommend potential design improvements
• Collaborate with manufacturing personnel on design for manufacturing and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
• Support IPRRs by checking MWIs, quality inspection plans, and NC programming

Basic Qualifications:
• Experience in Mechanical Engineering, or related technical discipline with knowledge of mechanical engineering concepts and processes
• Experience utilizing Creo software and/or similar experience
• Ability to perform Foundational skills performing GD&T
• Ability to work in a reciprocal and team-based environment
• Willingness to travel when required.
• Ability to obtain a Government issued security clearance, must be a US Citizen

These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
