Overview
ISHPI is seeking a Equipment Specialist (hybrid) to support the Command and Control (C2) Afloat Integration Support (C2AIS) for the U.S. Coast Guard Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber and Intelligence Service Center (C5ISC) in Portsmouth, VA. This role will manage the supported systems of the C5ISC and provides services to include system engineering, software engineering, hardware engineering, network engineering, test engineering, electronic engineering, and technical writing.
Responsibilities
Assists in the collection, analysis, and preparation of required technical data and documentation to include the development of desk guides, and standardized configuration drawings. Provides independent review of engineering data, job aids, technical guides/documents, desk guides, and illustrated parts break-downs prior to field implementation to ensure consistent high quality product delivery. Independently reviews and provides recommendation on Engineering Change Proposals, analyzes configuration and supply data to identify and correct discrepancies as well as assist in stock control. Participates in equipment supportability analyses including Failure Mode Effect and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) and Level of Repair Analysis (LORA); provides quality assurance review of maintenance and supply plans; identifies and corrects deficiencies in required logistic support elements necessary to maintain supported systems. Uses various logistics management applications to determine and document system configurations, logistics support, and inventory tracking; systems include Coast Guard ACMS, AMMIS, NESSS, FLS, CMPlus, and Navy CDMD-OA, SPIDER, and NITRA.
Qualifications
Education and Experience: Associates degree in the area of Electronics Technology or Information Technology and minimum of four (4) years of experience in C4IT system sustainment and logistics management, or completion of USCG or DOD Technical "A" School and six (6) years of experience in C4IT system sustainment and logistics management.
Security Clearance: Requires U.S. Citizenship and an active DoD government security clearance.
