Position Summary
The Enterprise Architect is responsible for providing strategic technology leadership, enterprise architecture guidance, and executive advisory services across complex customer environments. This position reports to the Practice Director and works closely with customer executives, enterprise architects, technology leaders, consultants, and partner organizations to align business objectives with technology strategy and execution.
The Enterprise Architect serves as a trusted advisor to executive stakeholders, enterprise architects, and technical leadership teams, guiding customers through the strategy, architecture, design, adoption, and governance of modern private cloud and infras tructure platforms. This role is responsible for aligning technology investments with business outcomes while driving successful adoption of VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), NSX, VCF Operations, VCF Automation, VMware Kubernetes Service (VKS), and related cloud infrastructure technologies. This role is expected to lead executive-level discussions, influence strategic decisions, provide governance across large-scale transformation initiatives, and ensure architecture strategies translate into measurable business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Executive Strategy & Advisory
• Serve as a trusted advisor to executive stakeholders, enterprise architects, and technology leaders throughout the customer lifecycle
• Guide customers through enterprise architecture strategy, platform modernization, cloud transformation, and operational improvement initiatives
• Develop future - state architecture roadmaps, modernization strategies, and technology adoption plans aligned to business objectives
• Facilitate executive workshops, strategy sessions, architecture reviews, and business outcome discussions
• Develop and present executive briefings, roadmap reviews, architecture assessments, and transformation recommendations
Architecture Leadership & Solution Strategy
• Lead enterprise architecture engagements spanning cloud, infrastructure, networking, security, automation, Kubernetes, and platform modernization initiatives
• Assess current - state environments and provide recommendations that improve scalability, resiliency, security, operational efficiency, and business outcomes
• Develop enterprise architecture standards, governance frameworks, reference architectures, and technology adoption strategies
• Guide customers through adoption of VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), NSX, VCF Operations, VCF Automation, VMware Kubernetes Service (VKS), and related cloud infrastructure technologies
• Partner with customer architecture teams to align enterprise standards, operating models, and transformation objectives
Professional Services Leadership & Governance
• Provide technical leadership across large - scale Professional Services engagements, ensuring architectural consistency and successful delivery outcomes
• Participate in project governance reviews, architecture review boards, and executive steering committee meetings
• Provide architectural oversight to ensure implementations align with approved designs, standards, and business objectives
• Identify and mitigate technical, operational, organizational, and program risks throughout customer engagements
• Support escalation management activities for critical customer initiatives requiring executive or architectural intervention
• Partner with delivery leaders, project teams, and customer stakeholders to remove obstacles and drive successful outcomes
Practice Development & Enablement
• Contribute to Professional Services methodologies, delivery frameworks, reusable assets, and implementation best practices
• Develop architecture standards, reference architectures, design patterns, and delivery accelerators that improve consistency and scalability
• Support technical enablement initiatives and mentor emerging architects, consultants, and technical leaders
• Contribute thought leadership, technical guidance, and best practices that strengthen consulting capabilities across the organization
Sales & Pre - Sales Support
• Partner with account teams to develop solution strategies that address customer business and technical objectives
• Participate in customer presentations, executive briefings, workshops, and discovery sessions
• Support proposal development, statement of work reviews, and technical solution positioning activities
• Provide architectural guidance during opportunity qualification, solution design, and customer planning activities
• Support strategic account planning and customer growth initiatives through trusted advisory engagement
People Leadership & Mentorship
• Mentor consultants, architects, and technical delivery teams, providing guidance on architecture, customer engagement, and delivery excellence
• Support development of technical talent through coaching, knowledge sharing, and participation in enablement programs
• Promote architecture best practices, technical standards, and professional development across consulting teams
Required Qualifications
• Experience leading enterprise architecture, technology strategy, or digital transformation initiatives within enterprise environments
• Experience serving as a trusted advisor to executive stakeholders, enterprise architects, and technology leadership teams
• Experience developing enterprise roadmaps, architecture standards, governance models, and transformation strategies
• Experience supporting VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), NSX, VCF Operations, VCF Automation, Kubernetes platforms, or related enterprise infrastructure technologies
• Experience leading enterprise transformation, modernization, or cloud adoption programs
• Experience participating in executive steering committees, governance reviews, or enterprise transformation initiatives
• Experience mentoring architects, consultants, or technical delivery teams
• Experience leading cross - functional teams across complex technical and business environments
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with VMware Kubernetes Service (VKS), Tanzu, private cloud platforms, cloud-native technologies, or automation frameworks
• Experience with Broadcom Software, VMware Cloud Foundation, AI, cybersecurity, or enterprise platform modernization initiatives
• Experience contributing to architecture standards, consulting methodologies, or reusable delivery frameworks
• Advanced VMware certifications such as VCDX, VCIX, VCAP, or equivalent enterprise architecture credentials
• Enterprise Architecture certifications such as TOGAF, Certified Enterprise Architect, or equivalent
• MBA, business strategy education, or executive leadership training preferred
