MBSE Systems Engineer

We are hiring a Senior Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Systems Engineer to provide high-level technical leadership and advisory support to a critical defense portfolio. In this role, you'll help shape and standardize MBSE practices across multiple programs, ensuring consistency, traceability, and mission alignment in a complex engineering environment.

This is an opportunity to influence enterprise-level architecture strategy while working alongside experienced defense professionals supporting mission-critical systems.

What You'll Do

• Serve as the architect for implementing a Government Reference Architecture (GRA) MBSE solution across the Targets Program Office
• Develop and refine MBSE design standards across a portfolio of current and future programs
• Author process documentation, build reusable templates, and establish metric reporting methods to support consistent MBSE execution
• Use requirements analysis to create and maintain the Government Reference Architecture (GRA) in Cameo SysML
• Lead systems engineering efforts to elicit stakeholder requirements and define mission needs
• Conduct functional analysis using MBSE techniques and tools
• Define system requirements and ensure traceability through model-based methods

What You'll Bring (Required Qualifications)

• Bachelor's degree with 20+ years of experience supporting missile defense-related or other DoD programs/projects OR Master's degree with 12+ years of experience supporting missile defense-related or other DoD programs/projects
• Hands-on experience with Cameo SysML
• Active Secret Clearance
• Deep expertise in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), preferably within DoD environments
• Ability to train and mentor others on MBSE concepts, tools, and best practices
• Experience using architecture modeling languages such as:
• DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF)
• Unified Architecture Framework (UAF)

Preferred Experience

• Familiarity with Missile Defense Agency (MDA) programs and processes
• Background supporting missiles, targets, missile defense systems, or hypersonic weapons
• Experience with integrated requirements tools such as DOORS NG
• Exposure to MDA test events and related activities
