Overview:
In this role, you will help develop high-speed signal processing algorithms, cryptography, and/or network protocols implemented in FPGAs. You will be responsible for the full design lifecycle, starting from requirements definition through documentation, block diagrams, source code implementation, simulation, place & route, hardware testing, and system integration.
You will collaborate with engineers across multiple disciplines and must be comfortable working in both small and large team environments. Experience in high-performance FPGA designs, network encryptors, and cryptographic devices is a plus.

Responsibilities:
- Design FPGA module- and system-level architectures using Verilog and/or VHDL
- Develop simulations for modules and systems
- Synthesize Verilog and/or VHDL designs for FPGA targets
- Develop timing constraints, analyze timing results, and implement design changes to close timing
- Generate and collaborate on design documentation, development requirements, specifications, and verification protocols
- Work closely with hardware engineers to bring up boards and interpret datasheets and schematics
- Conduct code and design reviews and participate in cross-functional technical reviews
- Maintain and manage FPGA code revision history
- Own and drive technical issues through resolution
- Integrate and debug designs in the laboratory
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
- 8+ years of FPGA design experience
- Strong foundation in digital logic and timing analysis
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to work on geographically distributed teams
- High attention to detail and ability to follow development processes and coding standards
- Experience with programmable logic EDA tools such as AMD/Xilinx ISE or Vivado, Intel/Altera Quartus, Siemens/Mentor Graphics, Synopsys Synplify, and Microchip soft-core processors
- Proven track record designing and implementing FPGA modules using Verilog and/or VHDL, including simulation and testbench development
- Familiarity with reusable, maintainable, and scalable design practices
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and own tasks through completion
- US Citizenship required
- Active United States Secret Security Clearance required
- Ability to travel up to 10%
