Missle Tracking Systems Engineer

Pay Estimated: $87.87-$92.87/Hour

Active Top Secret Clearance Required to Start

This leader in global defense integrates advanced technology to deliver information and insights on the battlefield, offering roles that support security and technological superiority across multiple domains.

Responsibilities:

• Perform systems engineering activities including requirements decomposition, architecture development, interface definition, and system behavior modeling
• Design and develop complex algorithm-based solutions to support missile tracking and situational awareness
• Develop logic for satellite scheduling, tasking, and payload coordination to support missile detection missions
• Support data fusion and analysis of satellite-based missile tracking data for ground processing and rapid dissemination
• Contribute to integration, testing, and deployment of ground entry points, operations centers, enterprise test infrastructure, and mission systems
• Support system integration, validation, maintenance, and operational site activities

Qualifications:

• U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering or STEM field OR Master's degree plus 6 years of related experience
• Active Top Secret (TS) DoD security clearance required at time of hire
• 15+ years of recent experience designing and developing complex algorithm-based systems
• 10+ years of recent experience developing and tuning algorithms for mission-specific parameters
• 8+ years of job-related systems engineering experience
• Core Technical Skills:
  • Systems architecture and requirements decomposition
  • Algorithm development and performance optimization
  • Satellite operations and payload scheduling
  • Missile tracking data analysis
  • Sensor data fusion

Preferred Qualifications:

• Missile tracking systems architecture and design
• Sensor fusion techniques
• Satellite mission planning and tasking logic
• Cloud technologies and distributed system deployment
• Image processing (collection, storage, analysis)
• Agile development environments
