[About the Role]
Join Indotronix as a Software Engineer 1 onsite in Colorado Springs, CO, and work at the forefront of innovative space and defense technologies. As part of a collaborative Internal Research and Development (IRAD) team, you will develop mathematics- and physics-intensive software solutions shaping the future of multi-domain operations and missile defense. [Responsibilities]
- Design, develop, and implement novel C++ software solutions for complex systems
- Collaborate with engineers and scientists to understand system requirements and translate them into new capabilities and algorithms
- Support the review and validation of requirements and test cases for software capabilities
- Apply recent experience in Python and MATLAB to solve real-world engineering challenges
- Operate and develop within Unix/Linux environments, utilizing scripting as needed
- Participate in code reviews, maintain documentation, and ensure quality standards are met
[Required Skills and Experience]
- Bachelor's degree in STEM and 5 years relevant experience, or Master's with 3 years, or PhD with 1 year
- Active, in-scope DoD Secret security clearance (required to start)
- Recent hands-on development in C++ (focus on new applications)
- Experience with Python and/or MATLAB
- Proficiency in Unix/Linux operating systems and scripting
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work onsite in a closed-area environment
[Preferred Skills]
- Advanced Linux operations and scripting
- Experience with automated software testing and analysis
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of battle management or fire control systems
- Exposure to Behavior Driven Development (BDD), Gherkin, Cucumber
- Experience with code quality tools (Jira, GitHub, GitLab, SonarQube, Coverity, Jenkins)
- Background in model-based systems engineering
- Advanced degree in Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science
