MANTECH seeks a motivated and mission-driven Executive Director to join our team in Stafford, VA.

The Executive Director manages all aspects of a diverse IT project or multiple IT projects, typically involving multiple disciplines in the IT function. Utilizes expertise and leadership skills to direct staff and to resolve issues to ensure project goals and requirements are met. Requires comprehensive understanding of internal and industry standards, as well as of the changing business environment. Applies industry expertise and commercial awareness to drive financial and operational performance within a division/region.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Lead cross-functional teams to successfully plan, execute, and deliver projects in accordance with contractual requirements.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment on objectives.
  • Drive continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery and team effectiveness.
  • Manage other programs as directed and work to grow the portfolio.
  • Assist the Marine Corps National Security Division with business development, networking, capture management, and proposal writing.
  • Assist the MCWL Executive Director/Portfolio Manager with the overall execution, management, issue resolution, and contract/personnel matters as needed.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field and 14 years of project management experience.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex technical or IT-focused projects throughout the full project lifecycle
  • Experience developing and managing project schedules, budgets, and performance metrics
  • Strong understanding of risk management, change management, and configuration management principles
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience briefing senior leadership and customers


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in business, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent
  • Experience supporting federal government or Department of Defense programs


Clearance Requirements:
  • An active TS/SCI clearance is required.


Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
  • Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
