You will be the Air Vehicle Health Management / IVHM Systems Engineer - Level 2 for the Diagnostics, Prognostics, and Health Management (DPHM) Team which is responsible for delivering cutting-edge health-management capabilities to modern military aircraft.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Air Vehicle Health Management / IVHM Systems Engineer - Level 2 you will be responsible for shaping diagnostic and prognostic solutions that detect, isolate, and drive corrective actions for aircraft system failures.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop, analyze, and mature DPHM capabilities using model-based systems engineering and testability analysis.

  • Define diagnostic requirements, conduct FMECA, and design built-in-test (BIT) solutions.

  • Coordinate schedules, plans, and integration activities with technical leads and stakeholders.

  • Brief project status to engineering leadership and ensure alignment with program objectives.

  • Collaborate across hardware, software, and vendor teams to sustain health-management performance.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or relevant technical degree

• Experience with data analysis using Python, SQL, Spark, and/or Tableau.
Desired Skills:
• Prefer advanced degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Systems Engineering

• Experience analyzing data logs/timelines from Aviation Vehicle Systems, Mission Systems, or Air Vehicle software.

• Experience with Agile practices and Methodologies

• Proactive engagement with team members to resolve technical issues.

• Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering languages (including SysML)

• Experience with diagnostic modeling in any of the following tool sets; DSI eXpress, Siemens Xcelerator/MADe, Dassault System 3DX.

• Good problem solving and organizational skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (i.e. the ability to communicate complex analysis with clarity and precision)

• Demonstrated experience and integration of Aviation Vehicle Systems, Mission Systems, or Air Vehicle software.

• Experience developing failure mode effects analysis and built-in-test (BIT) design.

• Experience in maintaining, troubleshooting, or Prognostics & Health Management capability development in commercial or military aviation.

• Familiarity with standard applied machine learning and data mining techniques.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
