Description:This position in the Lockheed Martin Government Affairs Office in Yorktown, VA supports various corporate and business area initiatives associated with the United States Air Force in the Hampton Roads area. This senior manager will be the primary interface between Lockheed Martin and Air Combat Command and other tenant organizations at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, VA. An understanding of US Government acquisition, budgeting and requirements processes is essential. Equally important is a thorough understanding of Air Combat Command's role as the lead of the Combat Air Forces in defining requirements and directing daily Operations and Logistics functions. Principal internal customers are the four domestic business areas with focus on Aeronautics, Missile and Fire Control and Rotary and Mission Systems.
The individual will:
1) Maintain a continual liaison at all appropriate levels with external and internal customers.
2) Assist business areas' understanding of external customer priorities, initiatives and challenges and arrange meetings/interactions, both formal and informal, between the appropriate level of customers to support suitable information exchange.
3) Serve on capture, color and strategy teams to assist business areas' keep sold and competitive priorities.
4) Travel as necessary to other government or Lockheed Martin facilities to maintain customer contact and facilitate consistent messaging.
Basic Qualifications:
- Extensive understanding of Air Combat Command's mission, responsibilities, and processes.
- Understanding of US Government acquisition, budgeting and requirements processes.
- Understanding of 5th Generation Weapon Systems, C2 Weapon Systems, USAF Weapons, ISR Weapon Systems and associated Support Assets.
- 10+ years of experience with current military systems, operational training and employment.
-DoD Clearance Secret and above
Desired Skills:
-Recent experience in Air Combat Command requirements generation and programming.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills to develop and deliver persuasive and factual messaging.
- Top Secret Clearance.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
