Overview
The Network Engineer supports the United States Secret Service (USSS) Aviation and Airspace Security Division's (ASD) mission is to develop, coordinate, and implement airspace security plans for the National Capital Region, as well as for sites visited by the President, Vice President, or other designated USSS protectees
Responsibilities
· Support the USSS in maintaining accurate, current, and traceable records of technical baselines, system configurations, and supporting documentation. Effective configuration management ensures system integrity, supports audit readiness, and enables consistent alignment with evolving mission and technical requirements.
· Support includes maintaining centralized repositories for configuration items and technical artifacts, tracking version control across hardware, software, and deliverables, and supporting configuration audits and baseline management processes.
· Maintain network components, diagnostics and troubleshoot network devices.
· Install systems in support of the USSS mission. Upon completion of installation and quality control processes, the contractor shall demonstrate the operability of all installed items.
· Provide training materials, user adoption guides, and on-site engineering support during deployments.
Qualifications
Required:
· Bachelor of Science in IT Engineering or related area of expertise
· 10 years of related experience
· Possess a thorough understanding and substantial experience in radio frequencies, sensor integration, and spectrum analysis
· Senior level experience and be well versed in Information Technology practices
· Knowledge of DHS policies, SELC best practices, and USSS directives to ensure that the C-UAS capability is secure, resilient, and fully mission-capable.
· Secret Clearance
Preferred:
· Academic background in RF, digital systems, or electronic warfare is preferred. ABET accreditation may be accepted as a substitute for professional experience
