Incumbent typical work assignments may include the following:
  • Performs coordination, coaching, facilitating, consensus ­building, and planning activities to accomplish team tasks.
  • Provides guidance, instructions, reference materials to team members on specific tasks and job techniques. Monitors progress and reports work status.
  • Serves as the assessable unit manager for PFPA-wide space, facility, property and construction management programs.
  • Develops standard operating procedures for effective management and compliance with GSA and DoW programs, and space layout standards.
  • Develops budget estimates for facility and physical security support, repair and maintenance, and space occupancy expenses for inclusion in the PFPA budget.

Qualifications

In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below.

You may qualify at the GS-13 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement:

One year of experience in the same or similar work equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (GS-12) requiring application of the knowledge, skills, and abilities of the position being filled. Applicants for this position must clearly demonstrate in their resume that they possess specialized experience in 1) conducting research and analysis on cost effective procurement of items; 2) managing projects using telecommunication and facility management principles and concepts and; 3) developing budget estimates for facility and maintenance services.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
