The organization delivers program management and configuration management support to Army tactical network programs. This role links planning to products by maintaining accurate configurations and organized program documentation to enable resilient communications for end users in the field.

Due to federal security clearance requirements, the applicant must be a United States Citizen with an active Secret clearance. This is a contract to hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. Rate: $60.00 to $70.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:
Responsibilities
  • Maintain functional and physical baselines for Mission Network equipment, ensuring configuration changes align with program schedules.
  • Facilitate and document Configuration Control Boards and Engineering Review Boards, and track Engineering Change Proposals from submission through implementation.
  • Support Functional and Physical Configuration Audits to verify hardware and software configurations against approved Technical Data Packages.
  • Contribute to Strategic Plans, Programs, and Policies and perform business planning and coordination to meet program objectives.
  • Provide staff action tracking, process CDRLs, and organize and archive files to preserve permanent records of program decisions.
  • Prepare and staff leadership briefings and spreadsheets on program status, configuration states, and milestone achievements.
  • Publish, distribute, and revise planning schedules for key activities and milestones, including critical path analysis.
  • Track dependencies for development and fielding of PM Tactical Network assets to ensure configuration updates do not impact deployment timelines.
  • Develop and implement a Configuration Management Plan for current projects and contracts in compliance with SAE EIA-649-1A and MIL-HDBK-61B.

  • At least 5 years of program management support experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience within a DoD PEO, O6 Project Manager, or O5 Product Manager environment.
  • Familiarity with DoD Configuration Management standards such as MIL-HDBK-61 or SAE-GEIA-HB-649.
  • Understanding of Mission Network transport-agnostic capabilities and expeditionary networking equipment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, and familiarity with Jira, ServiceNow, or MS Project.
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills and problem-solving ability in a dynamic APG environment.
