Duties
Help
  • Serve as real estate, real property, and space planning subject matter expert for an ID supporting an Army Command by providing project/program responsibilities, integration, etc.
  • Serve as the ID-R realty authority on all Real estate, Real property, and space utilization matters to include environmental integration, renders advice and assistance.
  • Guide accomplishment of real estate and real property program through on-site evaluations, directorate supervisors, and coordination with numerous Federal agencies and/or State and local governments.
  • Review realty and space utilization accomplishments of garrisons for technical adequacy, consistency, and compliance with policies, procedures, directives, etc.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315. While probationary the incumbent can be terminated with limited appeal rights.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience for GS-12: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Maintaining real property inventory and real property databases of record; AND 2) Reviewing required documentation for real property actions, such as acquisitions, capital improvements, usage changes, and/or disposals; AND 3) Utilizing automated accounting and resource management system to manage real property system, such as Global Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) to manage real property. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

Specialized Experience for GS-13: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Interprets real estate agreements and regulations to provide guidance and recommendations; AND 2) Advise on commercial space utilization such as long and short term and reconfiguration plans; AND 3) coordinates with internal and/or external stakeholders on real estate and/or real property projects and programs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.

Time in Grade Requirement for GS-12: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).

Time in Grade Requirement for GS-13: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
