Job Overview

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for following established strategies, filling candidate pipelines, and interviewing potential candidates.

Essential Functions
  • Full cycle recruitment process, including sourcing and requisition management
  • Partner with external staffing agencies, including contract and temporary workforce engagements with a strong understanding of contract terms, compliance requirements and the ability to review, interpret, and execute staffing and service agreements
  • Provide sourcing and recruiting support to Intelligence and Aerospace programs, as well as internal corporate roles such as Engineering, IT, Operations, Finance, Human Resources
  • Maintain a strong network of industry contacts for potential sourcing and hiring
  • Develop innovative ways to source candidates to produce sustainable talent pipelines
  • Facilitate the screening and selection process between candidates and hiring teams which Includes internal training as necessary
  • Maintain detailed communications with managers, candidates, and stakeholders to stay apprised of status and general coordination, negotiating and closing offers, and process improvements
  • Proactive tracking of progress and all recruiting activities in our applicant tracking system
  • Analyze staffing trends and results for continuous improvement of our strategies and process
  • Provide recruitment status metrics to all pertinent stakeholders regularly
  • Assist with the training, mentoring, and developing of junior recruiting staff as needed
  • Foster Global Inclusion and Diversity in business hiring practices
  • Fulfillment of assigned recruiting responsibilities with a high sense of urgency and thorough execution of established processes
  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications and Competencies
  • Familiarity with Affirmative Action plans, tracking & reporting
  • Intermediate level of knowledge in all full life cycle recruiting components including, but not limited to, sourcing, qualifying, networking, assessing, legal, job analysis, wage and salary trends, relationship management, and due diligence
  • Strong computer skills in a PC environment using various business software programs (spreadsheets, word-processing, and databases)
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Office suite of applications
  • Ability to manage effectively and hire quickly for approximately 10 requisitions at a time, with the ability to handle more during hiring surges
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Ability to collaboratively work with team
  • Possesses sound judgement and ability to think/work through critical situations
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Strong relationship building and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Accustomed to working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Adaptable and flexible to changing priorities, can handle multiple assignments, and meets deadline
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of work-related information and materials

Education / Certifications
  • BA/BS or Associates, Business or HR degrees preferred, although applicants with equivalent work experience will be considered

Experience
  • 2+ years experience as an in-house/corporate recruiter, talent acquisition specialist for an Aerospace company preferred.
  • Agency experience filling DoD and/or Aerospace Engineering roles will also work
  • Executive search experience is preferred
  • Experience recruiting and hiring individuals with high level security clearances within the Intelligence community
  • Experience using an Applicant Tracking Systems to source, track, and measure results
  • Experience recruiting for business development, capture and proposal initiatives within Government contracting environment preferred

Security Clearance
