Responsibilities:
• Identify and develop cyberspace operation capability concepts based on operational needs and strategic guidance.
• Conduct research, define concept aims, draft proposals, and submit for review and approval.
• Build and maintain Communities of Interest across international defense organizations, industry, and academia to support concept development.
• Contribute to experimentation and validation of cyberspace concepts (feasibility studies, experiment design, and assessments).
• Develop supporting engineering products and artifacts including capability requirements, analyses, architecture development, and interoperability assessments.
• Support broader capability implementation and technical/operational studies.
• Plan and participate in workshops, conferences, and meetings with stakeholders; travel as required.
Experience & Skills:
• Master’s degree in engineering, systems engineering, or computer science (or Bachelor’s with 5+ years of relevant post-degree experience).
• Proven hands-on experience (minimum three projects in the last five years) developing cyberspace concepts, specifications, architectures, and functional analyses.
• Professional certification in CIS security/cyber defense (e.g., CISSP, GIAC Security Expert, CISM).
• Experience in architecture drafting using frameworks like NATO Architectural Framework (NAF) or TOGAF.
• Demonstrated experience planning and executing multi-stakeholder workshops.
