Location: This position does not support teleworking;the selected candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in: Littleton, CO and be expected to work a flexible 9x80 schedule in the office full-time.
What does this role look like?
We are seeking a hardworking, highly motivated Senior Manager to lead the Raptor Avionics Engineering group tasked with building state-of-the-art hardware for Lockheed Martin Space programs. This role will shape the future by leading a cross-functional team of leaders and engineers focused on the design, development and delivery of bus products. Success in this position requires partnership with Operations to drive supply chain and production execution. This role will be accountable for engineering performance and strive for excellence across programs while driving innovation, a growth mindset and implementing a culture of change.
In this role, you will direct all phases of program work from inception through product development, demonstrations, delivery, and Space Vehicle integration. Responsible for cost, schedule, and technical performance of the Raptor Avionics.

• Identify opportunities for engineering resources to apply expertise from other program areas
• Implement and lead technical knowledge management to develop and maintain key technical skills, knowledge continuity, talent pipeline health and facilitate career advancement opportunities to employees
program engagement/technical solutions
• Design and deliver mission enabling products while driving solutions that are lower cost, have faster delivery and provide enhanced capability to LM Space
• Engage with program leaders on proposals, execution, issue resolution, and staffing
• Actively support business rhythms and reviews
• Identify lessons learned & best practices and ensure incorporation into future program activities
• Establish and maintain a strong working relationship with chief engineers and program managers
Innovation/Culture Change
• Drive affordability & go-fast initiatives
• Cultivate systems thinking across the engineering and program teams
• Provide oversight and awareness of opportunities for collaboration and processes/tools to accelerate and improve quality of products
• Engage in architecture definition, technology development and insertion, and technical trades with an emphasis on commonality
For this role, you will need:
• 12+ years of professional experience.
• An active TS/SCI clearance to be considered; thus US Citizenship.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science or higher from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
• Technical and leadership experience with expertise in spacecraft electronics products and systems, development, anomaly troubleshooting and hardware production.
• Experience leading and developing high performing teams.
• Detailed knowledge of engineering and program planning throughout development, design, build, test, and integration phases.
• Active TS/SCI security clearance.
Desired Skills:
• Demonstrated experience managing or leading personnel including previous experience as a Senior Manager
• Excellent presentation, oral and written skills to facilitate effective and efficient technical and business interchanges with senior customer and management
• Ability to build key relationships across organizations internally within LM and externally with government customer to achieve organizational and program goals

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $164,300 - $289,800. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
