MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. A company-sponsored interim clearance is required to start.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in technical discipline (e.g., engineering field) or equivalent discipline (e.g., Chemical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering), with 9 years or more of professional experience; or 7 years professional experience with a related Master's degree
- Must have the ability to obtain a Secret clearance
- Knowledge of manufacturing/quality processes and documentation.
- Root Cause & corrective action implementation experience including Failure Review Board chair or co-chair
-Experience developing quality standards, methods, work instructions and procedures for the inspection of manufactured products
-Experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment with strong skills in AS9100 certification and compliance requirements
-Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and contracts
- Experience with control and disposition of non-conforming material (Material Review Board).
-Thorough understanding of engineering requirements and inspection methods during transition to production activities
-Experience solving complex problems associated with the quality of products
-Ability to travel up to 10%
Desired Skills:
- Demonstrated presentation skills
-Experience working with multiple levels of Government customers and stakeholders
-Experience with MRA/Readiness Reviews
-An understanding of LMP2P / SAP / Apriso to support business operations,
- Experience or knowledge in Bid, Proposal, and Estimating practices as well as in development of Quality Basis of Estimates (BOE)
-A strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Special Process Engineering experience
-Lean Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt / Black Belt)
-ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CSQ) and / or Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA)
-Thorough understanding in AS9100 and ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
