The Senior Network Engineer serves as the principal integration engineer responsible for the design, architecture, engineering, and sustainment of the FBI CIRG/TSSU Operations Support Group (OSG) enterprise network infrastructure. This role operates as a Tier 4 technical authority supporting classified and unclassified LAN/MAN/WAN environments worldwide, including satellite, cellular, and high-latency transport mediums.
• Serve as principal integration engineer for LAN/MAN/WAN service delivery, including planning, design, installation, maintenance, and coordination with telecommunications providers.
• Engineer, configure, troubleshoot, and support Cisco IOS/NX-OS and Linux-based router solutions.
• Design and implement new solutions based on emerging technologies with Government approval.
• Develop highly detailed network design diagrams and documentation for Government and contract staff use.
• Conduct security audits, assessments, design, implementation, and configuration activities.
• Function as a Tier 4 support resource for complex network problems and products in use.
• Plan, design, implement, test, and support network solutions across multiple platforms.
• Recommend network architecture changes to improve performance and security.
• Provide technical vision for the support and deployment of network and security technologies.
• Install, configure, and operate networks in highly complex environments with specific protocols.
• Implement and support Cisco Call Manager and Access Control System.
• Research and recommend security-related solutions; perform software evaluations and testing.
