Duties
Help
  • You will administer web-based applications using operating systems platforms (e.g., Microsoft Sharepoint)
  • You will serve as a senior technical adviser for all IT issues, customer service problems and projects for the schoolhouse.
  • You will provide insight and guidance for procedures for implementation of mandatory technical standards of legacy systems.
  • You will submit customer and/or claimant service requests for local Moves/ Adds/ Changes (MAC) for action by the authorized Customer Technical Representative and aggressively follow up to ensure completion.
  • You will serve as the Administrator for the two Web and SharePoint Servers of SOI-W websites.
  • You will be responsible for web page content and design and creating interfaces to other web enabled applications while coordinating and working with subordinate, peer, and higher headquarters designated contributors.
  • You will produce pages that include text, photos, graphic images, and streaming video in a format that is viewable.
  • You will work in conjunction with program contributors and supporting units to prepare and produce digital pictures and slides and editorial material for posting to the website.
  • You will perform risk analysis on IT projects, determine their impact and provide solutions to the Command in order to mitigate the identified risks.
  • You will ensure school house compliance with all Pll and INFOSEC policies and procedures.

  • This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 2210 level 11 (INTERMEDIATE) within 12 months of appointment.
Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-10 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Knowledge of Webpage Design, Content, and Interoperability. Capable of assisting with the development, implementation, and maintenance of a web-based programs. Proficient in designing and creating new pages, verify correctness of content, verify links, and address any security concerns. Ability to Accommodate Internet Site Requests. Ability to produce pages that include text, photos, graphic images, and streaming video in a format that is viewable by potential students, parents, the School of Infantry staff, other headquarters throughout the Marine Corps Operating Forces and Support Establishments. Skilled in upgrading websites to keep pace with the improvements in technology and customer demands. Capable of ensuring that pages are compliant with Federal and Military guidelines for Internet web sites. Create additional sites for subordinate or supporting organizations that are linked to the main website. Knowledge, skill, and ability to review content to ensure protecting PII and CUI according to the Privacy Act of 1974 and CUI policies.
