CDMD-OA/MBPS Configuration Management Specialist

Purpose:

• Valkyrie is seeking a dedicated Configuration Data Manager Database in Virginia Beach, VA.
• Open Architecture (CDMD-OA) Specialist to join our team. This individual will provide Model Base Product Support (MBPS) by generating, maintaining, and submitting Configuration Overhaul Planning (COP) files for approval.

Job Description:

• Access CDMD-OA and replacement system Model Based Product Support (MBPS) to generate, maintain, and submit configuration overhaul planning (COP) files for review/approval by the Configuration Data Manager (CDM)/Configuration Status Manager (CSM).
• Read and interpret SIDs, Allowance Parts Lists (APLs), JETDAS Nomenclatures, Technical Manual Data, and relevant data within the MBPS suite to support development of COP files.
• Coordinate and execute configuration audits in conjunction with alteration installations or other shipboard visits onboard SSDS MK 2 ships and at SSDS MK 2 Land Based Test Sites.
• Coordinate and execute desktop configuration audits of ship configuration data records in CDMD-OA and MBPS.
• Validate and provide updates for legacy configuration records as part of the conversion from legacy databases to MBPS.
• Request and maintain software APLs (XRICs).
• Generate request for MK/MOD Nomenclature Assignment in NAVLOGTD MK/MOD Portal and/or within the Model Based Product Support (MBPS) suite.
• Provide support in the development and tracking of CM products such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), status tracking reports and spreadsheets, and configuration audit plans.

Qualifications

• Must have experience with CDMD-OA and ISEA roles.
• Must have experience as a MBPS-Configuration Technical Data Manager (CTDM).

Desired Requirements

• 5 plus years of experience with SSDS, Navy, and/or shipboard systems, preferred.

Security Requirements:

• Must have an Active DoD Secret Security clearance and base access requirements.

Travel Requirements:

• Less than 10%
• If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID. Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to work in an office, industrial, or shipboard environment.
• Be able to lift and move materials not to exceed the guidelines set for one-man lift.
• Must be able to perform site surveys and carry a laptop computer.
