Precision Talent Solutions is supporting a client in their search for a Superintendent. This position is responsible for managing night-shift maintenance and renovation operations across the US Capitol campus. The Superintendent will oversee installers, ensure quality work, troubleshoot issues, and provide handoffs to daytime operations staff. This position is based on site in Washington, DC and requires active Top-Secret clearance.
Responsibilities
Lead and supervise night-shift field crews and subcontractors (1900–0300) to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project requirements.
Oversee maintenance and renovation projects, including installation and repair of doors, hardware, and other facility upgrades.
Serve as the on-site decision-maker and troubleshoot field issues in real time to minimize project delays and operational disruptions.
Coordinate nightly work plans, task assignments, and resource allocation to meet project timelines and objectives.
Read and interpret drawings, prints, and specifications to ensure accurate execution of work activities.
Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure adherence to project scope, schedules, and quality standards.
Enforce OSHA, EM-385, and site-specific safety standards; promote a culture of safety among crews and subcontractors.
Conduct site walkthroughs and inspections to verify quality of workmanship and compliance with project requirements.
Track material usage, equipment needs, and manpower requirements throughout the shift.
Maintain detailed documentation and provide shift handoffs to daytime staff, including updates, equipment requests, and design changes.
Communicate progress, risks, and issues to leadership and customer representatives in a timely manner.
Assist with coordinating logistics, deliveries, and staging of materials for ongoing projects.
Support implementation of corporate quality control programs and continuous improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with internal teams and subcontractors to ensure timely and successful project completion.
Qualifications
Active Top-Secret clearance (Secret may be considered)
High School Diploma or GED required; additional technical or construction training preferred
OSHA 30 Certification (or ability to obtain after hire)
5 years of construction management experience.
Minimum 3 years supervising installers or trades personnel in maintenance or renovation projects
Experience working in secure federal facilities preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and construction reporting tools
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
