We are seeking an experienced Senior MS365 Platform Engineer to provide Tier 4-level product support for Microsoft 365 services within a large Federal environment under the Enterprise Messaging, Collaboration, Authentication, and Office 365 (EMCAO) program. This role serves as an embedded senior technical resource within daily operations, delivering expert-level support for Microsoft 365 workloads and maintaining direct escalation pathways into Microsoft product, engineering, and development teams. The Senior MS365 Platform Engineer provides advanced troubleshooting, platform optimization, and proactive guidance based on deep knowledge of Microsoft's evolving cloud ecosystem.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide Tier 4-level product support for Microsoft 365 services with access to advanced technical expertise and Microsoft escalation channels.

• Deliver expert-level support for Microsoft 365 workloads including Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft Purview / Azure Information Protection (AIP).

• Perform advanced scripting, configuration management, and complex troubleshooting across M365 services.

• Escalate complex issues directly to Microsoft engineering or product groups through established enterprise support channels, partner programs, or strategic partnerships.

• Participate as an integrated member of the VA support team in technical meetings, incident response activities, and project planning sessions.

• Provide proactive guidance on Microsoft roadmap features, platform limitations, and best practices informed by direct engagement with Microsoft product teams.

• Support tenant governance, workload optimization, and service health monitoring across the M365 environment.

• Assist in reviewing and validating service updates, configuration changes, and feature releases.

• Contribute to documentation, configuration standards, and operational best practices supporting enterprise collaboration services.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

• 5+ years of relevant IT experience supporting Microsoft 365 and enterprise collaboration platforms, including Tier 3 or Tier 4 escalation roles.

• Demonstrated experience supporting Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft Purview / AIP in enterprise environments.

• Experience performing advanced scripting (PowerShell) and complex configuration management in Microsoft 365.

• Proven experience collaborating directly with Microsoft product teams, engineering groups, or enterprise escalation channels.

• Experience providing escalation support within large-scale Federal or commercial enterprise deployments.

• Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 service architecture, integration, and platform evolution.

• Ability to communicate complex technical issues clearly to leadership and operational stakeholders.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS DESIRED:

• Experience working with Federal agencies, particularly the Department of Veterans Affairs, is a plus.

• Familiarity with enterprise compliance, retention, and information governance capabilities within Microsoft 365.

• Microsoft 365 enterprise certifications or equivalent advanced credentials preferred.

EDUCATION:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.

CLEARANCE:

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

• Remote
