We are seeking an experienced Entra ID Helpdesk Technician to provide operational support for Microsoft Entra ID Business-to-Business (B2B) collaboration services within a large Federal enterprise environment under the EMCAO program. This role supports secure interagency collaboration initiatives by resolving identity, access, and external user support requests related to Microsoft Entra ID B2B integrations. The Entra ID Helpdesk Technician provides timely issue resolution and customer assistance to ensure reliable and secure external collaboration services.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide Tier I-III operational support for Microsoft Entra ID B2B external collaboration services.


  • Troubleshoot external user access issues, guest account provisioning problems, and cross-tenant authentication errors.


  • Support onboarding and account activation for external agency users.


  • Assist users with multi-factor authentication (MFA), conditional access challenges, and identity verification issues.


  • Resolve sign-in errors, federation configuration issues, and cross-tenant access policy conflicts.


  • Monitor and respond to identity-related support tickets within defined service timelines.


  • Escalate complex configuration or security issues to engineering or security teams as appropriate.


  • Maintain accurate ticket documentation and update knowledge base articles to support recurring issues.


  • Provide end-user guidance and support documentation related to B2B collaboration processes.


  • Support release updates by validating user access and verifying functionality post-implementation.


KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • 3+ years of relevant IT experience supporting identity management, Microsoft Entra ID, or enterprise helpdesk environments.


  • Experience supporting user account provisioning and external collaboration access issues.


  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, guest user lifecycle management, and authentication concepts.


  • Basic understanding of MFA, conditional access, and identity federation principles.


  • Experience working within SLA-driven ticketing environments (ServiceNow preferred).


  • Strong customer service, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.


KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS DESIRED:

  • Experience working with Federal agencies, particularly the Department of Veterans Affairs, is a plus.


  • Experience supporting Federal interagency collaboration environments.


  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 Government Community Cloud (GCC) environments.


  • Microsoft identity-related certifications preferred but not required.


EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science , Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.


CLEARANCE:

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

  • Remote
