Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Quality Control Specialist to join our team on-site in Annapolis Junction, MD. The Quality Control Specialist will support project execution by ensuring all construction activities meet contractual, technical, and safety standards. This role is responsible for reviewing project documentation, overseeing QC inspections, collaborating with project stakeholders, and driving continuous improvement throughout the construction process.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive reviews of contract documents-including RFPs, specifications, drawings, and submittals-to verify compliance with project requirements.
- Evaluate design documents to confirm constructability and alignment with contract obligations.
- Implement the 3-Phase Quality Control process, including preparatory meetings, initial inspections, and follow-up inspections for each Definable Feature of Work.
- Develop detailed, project-specific installation checklists to support field teams and ensure consistent execution.
- Perform thorough inspections of all completed work in coordination with the Owner and QC representatives.
- Gather project data, analyze trends for continuous improvement, and deliver findings to the project team on a weekly basis.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of practical experience in construction, estimating, and/or QC functions.
- Ability to obtain a state-issued Journeyman License within six months of employment.
- Proficiency in interpreting drawings, BIM models, specifications, and relevant codes/standards such as NEC and NETA.
- Knowledge of manufacturing workflows including receiving, production, shipping, and quality processes.
- Comfortable working efficiently in a fast-paced construction or manufacturing environment.
- Associate degree in a technical field, or equivalent experience related to quality control.
Compensation:
- Pay Range: $70,000-$80,000 **depending on experience**
