Job Title: Financial Analyst

The likely salary range for this position is $81,000- $100,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position and could fall outside of this range.

Alpha Omega is seeking a qualified Financial Analyst to support an IT portfolio within a PMO for one of our clients. The selected candidate will, at a minimum, fulfill the responsibilities below.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain program budget and spend plan according to financial best practices
- Manage multiple contracts tracking worksheets
- Develop and Maintain budget plans for all funding obligated, committed, and expensed against the plan, investigate variances, identify shortfalls, and propose reallocation of funds when necessary
- Support oversight and execution of current funding authority across all funded activities
- Create budget and expense forecasts
- Respond to financial data calls (recurring and ad hoc)
- Prepare and maintain program Lifecycle Cost Estimate (LCCE) utilizing Cost Estimating Tools
- Identify opportunities to automate manual financial activities
- Support Capital Planning and Investment Control (CPIC) activities
- Complete program acquisition documentation (e.g., market research, IGCE)
- Track software license contract and support renewals
- Support various Integrated Project Teams (IPT) by developing agenda, documenting meeting minutes, resolving action items and supporting IPT Lead as needed
- Ability to develop point papers, briefing materials, graphical presentations, marketing materials, and to make formal oral presentations of these materials to all levels of government personnel
- Coordinate with development vendors to ensure activities are on schedule. Identify course correction activities if critical path is impacted.
- Maintain risk artifacts (risk management plan, risk register, burndown)
- Identify program risks and review with IT PMs and Contractor Leads
- Facilitate program level risk meetings
Required Education:
- Bachelor's degree in business or an IT related field, which can be substituted for technical certifications
Required Qualifications:
- Experience/Skills:
- 3+ years of experience as a Financial Analyst
- Knowledge of Federal Acquisition process
- EXPERT Excel skills
- Advanced PIVOT Tables skills
- Advanced Macros and formulas skills
- Experience in Federal financial management processes
DesiredSkills:
- Knowledge or familiarity with Federal Financial Forms and the FFMS System
- Demonstrated experience in the Federal Procurement Process
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in an environment leveraging Agile.
- Active or recent previous DHS experience highly desired
- Proven track record of delivering solutions with a customer-first mindset
- Expertise in supporting transformative initiatives across multiple teams
