Overview
Our Senior Cost Analyst will support the USSF and is responsible for organizing, training, and equipping Guardians to conduct global space operations that enhance the way our joint and coalition forces fight, while also offering decision makers military options to achieve national objectives.

Responsibilities
The applicant will provide to support to the United States Space Force through the following:
- Helping define military space system scope, requirements, configurations, and identify, track, and quantify technical, cost, and schedule risks
- Developing and delivering cost estimates for space defense acquisition related projects
- Creating estimates using ACEIT, or other cost estimating software
- Understanding EVM and other techniques to monitor/extrapolate cost/schedule performance during mission execution.
Skills Required
Successful applicants will be familiar or have experience in the following areas:
- Cost estimating principles/DoD acquisition policies
- Working knowledge of the DoD acquisition and project management process
- Working knowledge of earned value management and scheduling
- Knowledge of DoD Budget cycle is desirable, knowledge of quantitative analytic techniques, and a strong working knowledge of ACEIT is highly desirable
- Stochastic modeling and have an understanding of how to apply sophisticated statistical and analytical techniques and convey the meaning of the results to DOD decision makers
- A secret-level clearance is required, top secret clearance desirable.
- Years of Relevant Experience: The position requires at least 10 years of combined industry and government acquisition experience of which 4 years shall include duties/assignments specifically in support of space programs.
- Education Required - Master's Degree (M/S) in one of the following areas
- Management, Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Science, Technology, Engineering, or Statistics. Can tradeoff education based on experience.
