Position Overview
• Seeking a highly qualified Component Engineer to support complex weapons systems programs that contribute to national defense.
• This role will support the LTIAMD and PAC-3 programs, with primary focus on Electrical, Electronic, and Electro-Mechanical (EEE) component specifications, military standards compliance, and performance validation.
• The selected candidate will play a critical role in ensuring product quality during transition from development to production by evaluating design assurance activities and implementing production process methodologies to maintain production velocity and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide component engineering support for Electrical, Electronic, and Electro-Mechanical (EEE) parts.
• Ensure compliance with applicable military standards and performance specifications.
• Evaluate design assurance activities to support successful product transition from development to production.
• Analyze manufacturing quality requirements and assess their application at component, sub-assembly, and final assembly levels.
• Perform electrical component failure analysis and lead root cause investigations.
• Develop and apply quality test and inspection methods.
• Interpret and analyze:
• Electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
• Engineering drawings and specifications
• Contracts and system integration technical data
• Support corrective action planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Identify and resolve complex manufacturing and process-related issues.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams.
• Support performance metrics development and Quality Engineering (QE) processes.

Basic Qualifications (Required)
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in electrical component failure analysis.
• Demonstrated expertise in Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action planning.
• Experience in microelectronics fabrication and testing (or equivalent).
• Ability to develop and apply quality inspection and test methodologies.
• Ability to interpret: Engineering drawings and specifications, Electrical schematics and wiring diagrams, Product and performance specifications
• Strong analytical skills with ability to resolve complex process issues.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (including Access).
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications
• Familiarity with Military Standards: MIL-STD-202, MIL-STD-883, MIL-STD-750, MIL-PRF-38534, 38535, 19500, 55342
• Experience with EEE components including: Integrated Circuits (ICs), Discrete semiconductors, Resistors, capacitors, inductors, Printed Wiring Boards (PWB) and assemblies
• Working knowledge of audit techniques.
• Lean / Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification.
• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA).
• SAP experience (QNOTES or related modules).
• Advanced AS9100 interpretation and application experience.
• Experience with: Product Development Process (PDP), Material Review Board (MRB), Production Parts Approval Process (PPAP), Machine shop or electronics manufacturing inspection environments
