Help
- You will respond to fires and fire related emergencies involving structures, aircraft, motor vehicle, wildland, and hazardous materials.
- You will conduct and receive daily training, covering all subjects in the fire protection and prevention field, pertaining to regulations
- You will respond to any release of hazardous materials, munitions, and fires at various storage sites.
- You will operate specialized equipment and tools unique to hazardous situations including hydraulic rescue tools, air bags, chemical testing and monitoring equipment., winches, ropes, and harnesses.
- You will respond to a variety of scenarios including wildland fires, life safety situations, and aircraft emergencies.

- This position requires employee to work a 72 hour work week.

- You will have 1 year from employment to obtain Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighter (ARFF).
- You will be required to obtain and maintain current FIREFIGHTER certifications: Firefighter I
- You will be required to obtain and maintain current FIREFIGHTER certifications: Firefighter II
- You will be required to have a current Hazmat Awareness certification through the International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC), National Professional Qualifications Standard (NPQS), or Department of Defense (DoD).
- You must possess a current National Registry or State Certification as Emergency Medical Technician (EMT).
- The Incumbent must possess and maintain a Department of Defense or transportation Emergency Vehicles Operations Certification (EVOC) or obtain within six months.
- Employee will be required to work in cramped, confined and hazardous environments, oxygen deficient atmospheres, exposed to hazardous materials, electrical hazards, hostile and unfamiliar environments, and vehicle accident scenes.
- Incumbent may be exposed to contagious diseases during the performance of emergency medical care and may have limited vision due to smoke, encapsulated suits, breathing apparatus mask, and nighttime conditions.
