Description of Duties:
The Windows System Administrator supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract.
The candidate will:
- Maintain Mission-critical infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on system hardening, virtualization, and incident management.
- Leverage deep expertise in Windows environments to respond to escalations, apply DISA STIGs, and ensure the security and stability of our systems.
The successful candidate will:
- Have strong technical communication and collaboration skills for working with users and external vendors.
- Have critical thinking skills and a dedicated, problem-solving mindset.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance
- Must have 6 or more years of general (full-time) work experience (may be reduced with completion of advanced education)
- Must have 3 or more years of directly related experience
- Must have extensive experience as a System Administrator in a secure DoD environment
- Must have proven expertise in administering infrastructure through Active Directory, VMWare, and Citrix
- Must have experience managing incident escalations, performing hardware/ software troubleshooting, and applying OS/application patches
- Must be skilled in managing user accounts, devices, groups, and organizations units within Active Directory
- Must have experience with MS SQL Server database management and developing SQL queries for analysis and reporting
- Must be able to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues affecting hardware, operating systems, and applications
- Must have strong knowledge of Active Directory Users and Computers, Sites and Services, DNS, Group Policy, TCP/IP networking and LDAP
- Must have experience with Multi Factor Authentication methodology
- Must have experience building, configuring and deploying servers/systems in a virtualized environment
- Must be able to interface with software engineers, system engineers, and subject matter experts to solve complex integration and technical problems
- Must have a current DoD approved 8570 Level II certification such as Security+ CE
Desired Qualifications:
- Have a bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, or related discipline
- Have a current ISC2 Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) certification
- Have a current CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst CySA+) certification
- Have a current CompTIA PenTest+ certification
- Have a current CompTIA Linux+ certification
- Have a solid understanding of Governance, Risk, & Compliance (GRC) principles and frameworks
- Be familiar with both Windows and Linux operating systems in a hybrid environment
- Be proficient in network troubleshooting (TCP/IP, DNA, VLANs, VPNs)
Compensation:
Salary Range: $110,000 - $140,000 annually. Final compensation is based on experience, education, and directly relevant certifications.
