THE OPPORTUNITY This role offers an exceptional opportunity for a Front End Software Engineer to take a leading role in designing and implementing critical UI components for real-world scenarios within intelligence systems. You will engage directly with engineers, stakeholders, and customers, translating complex requirements into elegant and user-friendly web experiences. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Design, develop, and maintain responsive and intuitive web user interfaces for the Lattice Control Application. * Collaborate closely with back-end engineers, product managers, and UI/UX designers to define, design, and implement new features. * Translate complex functional and technical requirements into high-quality, scalable, and maintainable front-end code. * Optimize web applications for maximum speed, scalability, and security. * Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards. * Troubleshoot and debug front-end issues, ensuring seamless performance and reliability. * Stay abreast of emerging front-end technologies and industry trends, advocating for their adoption where appropriate. * Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes and tools. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. * 5+ years of professional experience in front-end web development. * Proficiency in modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js). * Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles. * Experience with front-end build tools (e.g., Webpack, Babel). * Demonstrated experience with RESTful APIs and asynchronous programming. * Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. * Active Secret security clearance. WORK ENVIRONMENT This is an onsite position located in Reston, VA, operating within a lean, fast-paced startup environment. We expect a highly hands-on approach with significant autonomy; candidates should be self-starters who thrive without extensive hand-holding and embrace a "roll up your sleeves" mentality that often extends beyond a traditional 9-5 schedule. Minimal travel is anticipated. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS The salary range for this position is $129,000 - $171,000, with flexibility for exceptional candidates.
