THE OPPORTUNITY This role presents a unique opportunity to shape the future of our federal markets portfolio. As a Federal Markets Account Program Manager or Director, you won't just manage projects; you'll drive strategic initiatives, cultivate deep client relationships, and lead high-performing teams to deliver exceptional outcomes. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Develop and execute strategic account plans to achieve aggressive growth targets within federal civilian markets, with a specific focus on the Department of Transportation (DOT). * Cultivate and nurture high-level relationships with key federal clients, understanding their evolving needs and positioning our solutions effectively. * Lead the full lifecycle of program management, from proposal development and budget oversight to execution and successful delivery, ensuring client satisfaction and project profitability. * Drive new business development initiatives within existing accounts and identify opportunities for expansion into new federal agencies. * Build, mentor, and lead high-performing, cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work environment. * Manage program budgets and resources effectively, ensuring fiscal responsibility and optimal utilization. * Act as the primary point of contact for client communications, escalating issues and managing expectations to ensure transparent and consistent engagement. * Identify and mitigate program risks, developing contingency plans to ensure successful project outcomes. * Contribute to the development of thought leadership and innovative solutions that address critical challenges facing federal agencies. * Collaborate closely with internal technical and delivery teams to ensure seamless execution and alignment with client requirements. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Marketing, Public Policy, or a STEM discipline. * 10+ years of progressive experience in account management, program management, or business development within the federal government contracting space. * Proven track record of consistent revenue growth and successful client relationship management in federal civilian markets, particularly within the Department of Transportation (DOT). * Demonstrated experience in managing complex programs with full budgetary and P&L accountability. * Expertise in developing and executing strategic account plans and driving new business opportunities. * Strong understanding of federal acquisition processes, contracting vehicles, and government regulations. * Excellent leadership skills with experience building, mentoring, and leading high-performing teams. * Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior-level federal clients and internal stakeholders. * Ability to thrive in a structured environment while exercising a high degree of autonomy and initiative. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * Master's degree in a relevant field. * Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent. * Deep existing network within federal civilian agencies, especially DOT. * Experience with agile methodologies and modern program management tools. * Proven ability to identify emerging trends and technologies relevant to federal markets. * Experience in developing and delivering innovative solutions to solve complex government challenges. WORK ENVIRONMENT This is a hybrid position based in the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Area, requiring approximately two days per week in the office. This model offers the flexibility of remote work alongside the benefits of in-person collaboration and client engagement. The team operates in a structured environment that provides clear guidelines and objectives, while also empowering individuals with a high degree of autonomy to manage their work and make impactful decisions. Some travel to client sites within the DMV area may be required. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS The target salary range for this position is up to $180,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. This role is eligible for a competitive bonus structure based on individual and company performance.
