We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) II to join our dynamic team supporting critical national security missions at Fort Meade, MD. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in safeguarding sensitive government information systems by applying a deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and best practices. The successful candidate will be instrumental in the design, development, and implementation of secure architectures, ensuring compliance with stringent government regulations and industry standards. The ISSE II will be responsible for conducting security assessments, vulnerability analysis, and risk management activities for various systems and applications. This includes developing and reviewing security documentation, contributing to accreditation packages, and providing expert guidance on security controls and countermeasures. We are looking for an individual who is proactive, detail-oriented, and possesses excellent problem-solving skills, capable of working independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment. Ideal candidates will have a proven track record in supporting government or defense sector cybersecurity initiatives, demonstrating a strong grasp of NIST, CNSS, and DoD RMF frameworks.
